What is in your car trunk? week 6

First my car is a lancer so the trunk is not that big. I have a clothing store in my trunk pretty much. I have almost all my work close just in case I get called in to work on a day I am not scheduled to work. Then I have my basketball shoes and some time of athletic shorts so if a get a call asking if I can play basketball I will be good to go. Also I have stuff to clean my car which is funny because my car is not clean. I have armor all wipes, rags to wipe it done, and carpet cleaner. I have for some reason a wheel chair leg, from a month or so ago when my mom had to use a wheel chair. Not really sure why it is still in there.

Week 5

In my narrative paper I need to review the format requirements for the paper as well as develop the thesis statement which was too vague.  I need to put more details in the thesis so that the audience knows more about what the paper is about.  Once I have developed the thesis, then I need to work on the topic sentences for each paragraph.  In the topic sentence on the second to last paragraph I didn't reflect the main idea in the thesis. With a stronger topic sentence the reader will be able to understand the idea of the paragraph. In my future papers I will develop the thesis paragraph to make the paper better. The only other problem with my paper would be a few grammar errors which can be easily fixed with reading the paper more before finalizing the final draft.   Before writing another paper I need to look over grammar rules like punctuations.

Week 4

 Japanese fire department personnel rescue Tsunami a woman from the devastated city of Natori, March 13, 2011. Japan confronted devastation along its northeastern coast on Sunday, with fires raging and parts of some cities under water after a massive earthquake and tsunami that likely killed at least 1,000 people.

In the picture I cant but notice the white smoke rising from the rubble. The smoke gives the feeling of what is it from.  Then my focus goes to the people.  The men helping the older lady out of the rubble and her face with a worried look on it which is an appeal to pathos.  Then the rubble of the fallen city in the background gives an appeal to pathos as well.  The text is an appeal to pathos and logos giving information about the 1000 people killed in the disaster. But with the lady being pulled out of the disaster gives you a cents of hope that people are able to make it out alive.

week 3 blog- 1 week late

Today I saw a commercial with John Wall promoting Reebok Zigtech shoes.  In the commercial I first saw ethos appeal because John Wall went form one year playing college ball to the NBA.  His reputation gives him the authority to promote a shoe that can help you perform in basketball. Then I noticed pathos appeal in the commercial, it was not as easy to spot as the ethos.  The commercial shoes John Wall wearing the shoes which makes you want to buy the shoes because if they are good enough for a NBA player then they are good enough for anyone.  The commercial had real up beat music playing which kinda made you get excited and want to get up and go do something. The music lyrics where sawing that you can be like John Wall if you just move like him and with the shoes you can.
